Poem 23

His Precious Creation

Dark and barren was the expanse,
A hushed vacuum of non-existence;
There amidst this empty space;
A mighty voice unleashed creation.

In an instant His gentle hand,
Charmed the waters from the land;
His Majestic Spirit stilled the waters;
As extravagant mountains filled the horizon.

Deep blue skies with strokes of fancy,
Filled the heavens with lustrous delight;
The Author looked with excitement,
As His final creation was unveiled.

From the dust, His image He created,
By pure Joy he gifted him life;
Gave him a heart to worship with power,
A spirit to sojourn with him forever.

The Master saw His Imperial feat,
His smile of bliss fragranced the air;
From seeming chaos, He brought forth Life;
A master piece, His delegate, His winner? Mankind.
